In November 2024 I had the pleasure of speaking about my Stasi file at the Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies annual convention in Boston. My paper was entitled, "'The Fate of an Entire Generation': The Ethical Responsibilities of the Target," in a session entitled "Days of Our Lives in Secret Police Files." It was wonderful to discuss such files and hear my fellow researchers fascinating work--and to go to dinner afterwards!
